Many interpreters in our state and across our country currently work as self-employed professionals. The spread of COVID-19 has impacted those providing service in various community settings. We understand how hard this is for everyone and want to support you with as many resources and as much support as we can.

With many individuals seeking at home or remote work, we have compiled a short working list of VRS and VRI agencies that may be hiring to keep up with consumer telecommuting demands. This is a working document so feel free to comment on the Google sheet with any additional agencies, information or contacts.

The second page on the sheet contains state by state links to file for unemployment, and is still being added to. With the passing of the CARES Act, self-employed workers are now eligible to file for unemployment insurance.
